As outlined in Changelings #22 Vlog update, I’ve put together a list of perks I thought people might be interested in if they were to donate to a horror film, crowdfund campaign and placed them here for discussion.
Consider this market research for my @fundition campaign. Are these perks you’re interested in? Do you have any suggestions for perks you MIGHT be interested in for a project like Changelings? I’m looping in @ashtv, @namiks and @brian-rhodes for their feedback. Hope you don’t mind!
The list below is a combination of perks I found on other, successful horror film crowdfunding campaigns along with some of my own ideas. Those films are: Muck, The Rat, Blue Ruin and Gehenna.
THE LIST OF PERKS
Changelings Perks List consists of 10 perks:
1. $5 – TOTAL ACCESS PACKAGE: Access to exclusive updates and the private telegram channel. Private live streams. Private Instagram? Private, collaborative playlist on Spotify. Special “Thank You” mention on All social media channels; emailed PDF of “Changelings” script.
2. $25 – EARLY ACCESS PACKAGE: View Changelings short film along with director and actor commentary and / or behind the scenes videos before anyone else. Download score.
3. $50 – PHYSICAL PACKAGE: Blue ray of Changelings with exclusive director’s commentary PLUS a signed blue ray of deceit.
4. $75 – SWAG BAG: Crew T-shirt, beanie/hat, pin, beer opener, shot glass, etc. Special thanks from the cast on Instagram.
5. $100 – SPECIAL THANKS: Film credit as Special Thanks. PDF. Production booklet with photos and stories and other bits you will never find on the internet.
6. $200 – PERSONAL PACKAGE: DVD DELUXE ($40 LEVEL) PLUS T-SHIRT PLUS POSTER PLUS FILM CREDIT, PLUS – MEET DIRECTOR AND TALK SHOP – Physical version of the Production booklet with photos and stories and other bits you will never find on the internet. Signed script. Signed story boards by Neil D’Monte. Comic by Neil?
7. $500 – IT’S PARTY TIME! – You get everything from the $100 level plus 2 PREFERRED TICKETS TO THE L.A. PREMIER OF Changelings, PLUS 2 TICKETS TO THE AFTER PARTY.
8. $1000 – ASSOCIATE PRODUCER: LIMITED EDITION SCULPTURES. You get everything from the $100 level + a 1/3 sized fine art sculpture bust created by Neil / Norm – of creature mid transformation SIGNED AND NUMBERED.
9. $2500 – HALLOWEEN SPECIAL: You get everything from the $100 level + a 1/3 sized fine art sculpture bust created by TBD – SIGNED AND NUMBERED & SILICON WEARABLE MASK of Dan or Toni. Invited to screening and after party.
10. $5000 – Executive Producer credit. Plus everything else.
Finally, please spread the word to anyone who might be remotely interested in horror and / or sci-fi films and stories. It would be fun to have conversations about these kinds of movies so I can get a better idea of what people want in not only the horror space, but the cryptocurrency space. Maybe there’s some overlap there. 🙂
