Our Clavius lens set’s aperture inserts were completely disorganized and I was able to spend a little time getting the kit ready for production. My favorite at the moment are the pink, colored ovals which gives the image a gorgeous oval bokeh while shading flares and some the shadows a pink hue. We’ve got several colors but I definitely want some more. Blood red would be sweet,
The kit went out on a rental job last week and they performed beautifully, so I’m confident that the new bodies that Richard Gale designed are working as they should. There’s that beautiful, 88mm. I can’t wait to test these against a zoom.
I wonder how we might match the colored bokeh from the aperture discs on the zoom. Might have to build something custom for the front element. We shall see.
